The Pilot

Before I get into my crazy rants and posts, I assume it best to fill my audience in on a bit of my life.  My name is Leah Jakubek- a mom to 3 and a wife to 1.  A top priority is to keep those numbers where they are currently at.  Although I have spent most of my working years in a corporate setting, I recently started my own in-home daycare.  To answer your next question, yes I am crazy.  To answer the follow-up question, yes I did this partially so I could be home with my last baby.  Our family resides in Combined Locks, WI, and from what I can tell at this point- we will be here forever or until the kids are all moved out, then we may hit up the west coast.  We’re a good 20 years away from that, but it’s something to look forward to.

I started this blog for a few reasons.  1.  My life has been so insanely different these last few years and have been some of the best of my life, so I need something to document all the standout antics that come about.  2.  I am really hoping that there are others out there who can relate or even smile at what I have to say.  That being said- It’s going to be blunt.  I am going to use inappropriate language.  I am going to discuss things that not everyone agrees with or things that some may not want to talk about at all.  Don’t read any further if you can’t handle that.  3.  I am surrounded by kids 24/7 whether it’s my own or my daycare kids.  I could write a book.  4.  I am married and that comes with its ups and downs and great moments and shitty moments.  And sex.  Yessss,  there will be lots of sex.  5.  I drink.  It helps me to cope.  I enjoy it.  No-  I’m not an alcoholic.  Yet.  The last 3 reasons are really the inspiration behind most of my posts.

I want to make this a hobby seeing as I have none.  Well, camping I guess.  And watching TV in bed.  In all seriousness, I always thought that I had a knack for writing.  My husband seems to think so too.  So here I am.  Hope everyone enjoys, and I promise some crazy stories ahead and a few laughs too.

I also have two dogs.  One is deaf.  More to come on that.
